From the very beginning, Radio Blacksmith Knoll has never been afraid to experiment. This station was never meant to be just background noise; it has always aspired to be a voice that awakens, challenges, and surprises. Now, inspired by listener feedback, we are taking the next step: moving towards a more adventurous, theme-based jukebox model.
What does this mean in practice? Until now, occasional specials like Vinyl Mania and Familiar from TV have been small detours along our path. From here on, they will be joined by a regular backbone of carefully themed broadcasts. Each session may take on its own hue, whether it’s forgotten treasures of the 1980s, autumn-coloured jazz soundscapes, deep explorations of electronic sub-genres, or the cultural histories told through film scores.
The guiding principle remains the same: music is a story, not wallpaper. We want to unearth records that slip past algorithmic playlists but still carry with them time, emotion, and unexpected twists. For us, listeners are not passive recipients but active companions on this journey. That’s why we invite you to suggest themes, directions, and those curious little alleyways our broadcasts might wander down.
This autumn marks the beginning of a new backbone: theme-based jukebox broadcasts. Through them, Radio Blacksmith Knoll can move in rhythm with its listeners while still offering the kinds of surprises no one saw coming. This is a journey we want to take together.
