Unfortunately, we have to share some technical news: all RBSK broadcasts are cancelled for now.
In our setup we’ve been using a small battery-powered controller that lets us manually manage the transmitter power. After a long stretch of freezing weather, that controller has finally run out of battery, and the system can’t be operated in its current state.
We had planned to replace the battery during our spring maintenance window, but clearly we were a bit too optimistic about its real-world lifespan. Even though the battery is rated down to -20°C, prolonged cold conditions have a habit of winning anyway.
We’ll post an update as soon as we have a clearer plan for the fix and the timeline.
