TL;DR
No fixed theme this Saturday, technical upgrades underway. Expect occasional interruptions and some unpredictable vinyl selections.

This Saturday, April 18th, things will sound a little different on Radio Blacksmith Knoll.
There’s no dedicated programme theme this time. Instead, we’re taking the opportunity to work behind the scenes and refine parts of the station’s technical chain. One area getting particular attention is the optical audio link that carries sound from the turntable into the studio system. It’s a small detail on paper, but in practice it shapes how vinyl reaches the transmitter and ultimately, how it reaches you.
Work like this is never entirely silent. You may notice brief interruptions, level changes, or the occasional moment where things don’t behave quite as expected. That’s part of the process.
To keep the signal alive while adjustments are underway, the turntable will still be spinning. Without a strict theme guiding the selection, the playlist is open territory: fragments of old records, overlooked tracks, and the kind of material that rarely makes it into a curated set. Surface noise, imperfections, and all.
In other words; no theme, but plenty to listen for.
